The Newcomb & District Cricket Club story began in 1972/73 with Alcoa Cricket Club. The lineage continued as Point Henry Cricket Club from 1975/76 before the Newcomb & District name was adopted for the 1977/78 season. The club competed in the Bellarine Peninsula Cricket Association and Geelong District Cricket Association before joining the Geelong Cricket Association from the 1995/96 season. Today, the Dinos continue that history at Grinter Reserve, supporting senior men's, senior women's and junior cricket in Newcomb and the wider Geelong community.

NDCC is a proud member of the Geelong Cricket Association (GCA), one of the premier cricket associations in regional Victoria. The GCA oversees competitions across a wide range of grades, providing pathways for players of all abilities. Our Senior Men compete in GCA Grade 4, while our Senior Women play in GCA E Grade East. Junior players participate in the GCA junior competition throughout the season.

NDCC shares a strong partnership with the Newcomb Power Football & Netball Club. Together, we share facilities at Grinter Reserve and work collaboratively to support sport in the Newcomb and Moolap community. This partnership allows us to provide better facilities, coordinate social events, and strengthen the community bond between our two clubs. Many of our members play for both clubs across the winter and summer seasons.
